Why do my emails go into spam

Emails may go into spam for two reasons:

  • a problem with the SPF record and the DKIM signature in newsletters
  • filtering by the recipient’s own mail service

First of all, you should try to send a test email to different email domains, for example: @gmail.com

If the email goes into the spam folder of all domains, the problem lies in the SPF record and the DKIM signature in newsletters. If the email goes into the spam folder for only one domain, then the filtering has been triggered.

How can the problem be solved?

  • You can try to change the content of the newsletter so that it differs from the original mailing. Then the mail services are less likely to recognize it as similar to some other mailing which, in their opinion, is spam.
  • Contact technical support and ask them to adjust the filtering.

Technical support contacts for well-known email service providers:

gmail.com – unfortunately, Google has elusive technical support. The only working option is to write a post on Twitter: @gmail, using the hashtags #gHelp and #HC (you will need to ask a question).

P.S. Don’t get into the spam folder! 🙈
